Should we save dead languages?

The world is constantly evolving, and with it, the languages we speak. Some languages, however, have fallen by the wayside, deemed no longer necessary or relevant in today's globalized world. These languages, known as dead languages, have been forgotten or neglected, leaving behind only remnants of their former glory. But what is the value of saving dead languages? Is it worth the effort to revive languages that seem destined to fade away? In this essay, I will argue that preserving dead languages is crucial for cultural heritage, linguistic diversity, and historical understanding.
