Afghanistan a country without leader

A lack of leadership from time to time is the main reason why Afghanistan is seriously running into hot water all the time. Before the Taliban invasion of Kabul in 2021 the US saw an easy partner with the Taliban to negotiate. The government wasn't taken into confidence. Since the Taliban came into power there hasn't been to with whom a worthwhile negotiation could be initiated. There's been a complete lack of leadership even a third party could be brought in to negotiate on behalf of the people of Afghanistan. The unrest began hasn't turned into a rebellion to bring the leadership into spotlight. One and all other reasons for which the Taliban goes unchallenged. The UN must be a mediator and a friendly neighbour together must come forward in the absence of a real government to negotiate on behalf of the welfare and future well-being of the people. A few neighbouring countries can come together along with the UN and representatives from the people now stay...

Gender Apartheid

There has been many words forthcoming expressing displeasure towards the Taliban. All and everything is focused at one thing that is to get equal rights for women and girls in secondary school education, work and in travel. The Taliban haven't been forthcoming in favour of any of these one way or the other attributing to religion. In turn denying rightful rights that is being continually denied. They have called it as gender apartheid. The Taliban just like the last time show no remorse in solving any of the problems thrust by force on women and girls. Living in the 21st century they appear as though they are in the 1st century. Religion doesn't teach anyone to kill another human. All religions only teach of love, compassion and humanity as one. Instead these things only point to the Taliban are some semi-virtuous group. Their religious claims are false. They are going back in time segregating men as superiors and women being their inferiors. What they are doing lit...

Good morning Afghanistan

Twenty hours have passed by without notice. There hasn't been any impact, except of the same attitudes from the Taliban. Nothing has changed. Just time passes by. Stability meaning that well-being and equality in education, work and equal representation of women and girls in work places is of utmost concern that's not working in the region. Have the world been muted to overlook everything not up to quality to the rest of eastern and western worlds? That's just exactly how it is at present. The world is muted not to see anything going on here. This is after one year since the Taliban have occupied Afghanistan. Does the world justify all the Taliban's actions? There has to equality for women and girls in secondary education, work and travel equally with men. Is the world going to be muted for another year letting all that is wrong against humanity to continue? There has to be concrete answers from the world who are responsible for this present condition. We in...

Good morning Afghanistan

Welcome to a bright new day and a bright new future. A day after the Taliban declared it as a National Holiday. Already a day in the Taliban calendar has been earmarked as a national holiday. A good beginning for the Taliban. They have already smelled success. They have miles to go. Plans to draw. Commemorate new plans in the calendar. Lots of things in hand to be finished. By the end of the day all eyes of the world are watching your every single move. Whatever comes in the way make it as a stepping stone for your country in the path of freedom. You held your breath for one year. Laugh more because it will get in more fresh air into your body. You have to do everything, every single moment and every single minute before anyone else will come to snatch your success away. You've miles to go before you sleep. Just as you've raised your voice for the difficult days ahead. Get a shovel in your hands. Lay down all your guns and violence. You cannot do two things at a tim...

How could the Taliban accept such a huge challenge?

Alright, in the first place the Americans were fools to handover such a big challenge for the Taliban alone to lift? Secondly, the Taliban didn't assess their capability or the strength to carry on. The transition wasn't a smooth one handing off such a huge responsibility to a regime which was well-known for it's non-cultural way of rule. There's no room for excuses for a regime under that comes 34 provinces. Perhaps, the only promise the Taliban have kept until now was to declare 15th August as a National Holiday. At least, they had this basic common sense of declaring it as a National Holiday and not as victory day or some other thing. This clearly shows they have a crave to turn into a democracy and the first step was to declare today as a National Holiday. It shows they have the courage to overcome all the hurdles to paveway for a democracy. From an economic standpoint they have the responsibility of clearing up of all the rubbish before turning in for a...

The Taliban

This isn't the time to talk of any investments. First and foremost you have to show leadership to attract any investments. Not just saying we welcome anybody. This isn't foreign policy. That means subtly saying in the future we will allow anyone to use our country as a base to carry out any terrorist activity. This will create instability in the region from drugs, weapons and equipment. Can you introduce us to the team probing into the killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri? It's almost one year completed you still act like a group. Can you call for a referendum because you say that the people must want education for girls and women. Can you bring your people to vote whether they want education for girls and women? Just saying that people must decide on women and girls education, who are these people? Are they people in your group or the afghan population? You are open to have any agreement with anyone, but for this region we need openness for anyone in this region to tru...

How we can change the equation for afghan women?

The word 'afghan women' hasn't given them an identity. This has only discriminated them as an identity of poverty, hunger and illiteracy. We must start seeing this word as empowerment, empathy and example for globally upliftment and equality. This century must change the rhetoric. The word afghan women is from the last century. This century must have it's meaning altogether different. No more will these words afghan women will be used in a negative connotation, this will used as a positive connotation henceforth. The afghan women can bring about changes in the global stage. They are capable of it. That's the reason why they are here. They must start seeing that they are capable of going beyond borders to million other women across the globe. What the afghan women are capable will be the greatest achievement of the millennium. They are capable of doing it. No where else will women be able to impact other women as afghan women will be able to achieve on a ...

Afghan women take to streets

Afghan women fighting for their freedom, education and food took to the streets in a rare protest. The Taliban tried to fire shots in the air. They were unmoved by the scare. They pressed on for their rights which has come under total ban education for teenage women and girls. A year into the hands of the defacto regime almost a year of education for teenage girls and women has been lost. Except for women work in the healthcare everywhere else their work has been banned. Everything from sports to work is now banned for women. Time is ticking minutes to hours days to weeks every second ticking is wasted. Their mobile phones were taken away or destroyed. There shouldn't be a repeat from the past. Time is ticking ...

Afghanistan a year back

Only a year back on the morning of August 15th 2021, no one expected their lives would be polar opposite to the lives in the last 20 years. Afghan President had fled Afganistan. The defacto regime now in power occupied Kabul the capital city of Afganistan. Many Afghans feared for their lives and tried anything to leave their country to anywhere where they could be safe. Millions of Afghans working and non-working men, women, children, expectant mothers including older women and men desperately wanted to go anywhere where they could start their lives again. The defacto regime for that matter didn't appear even to be soft to the Afghans. They showed up everywhere with a rifle on their shoulder walking and standing everywhere. Their very presence was intimidating. Inside the Parliament the defacto regime leaders posed photos as a sign of capture not as a victory from foreigners. From the very beginning it was calamitous. A new chapter in history was opened in Afghanistan. ...

Afghanistan Part 2

With just a week away from 15th August 2022 , the day that overturned every step taken in the direction of stability in this region everything was washed away. As we saw in the beginning the wall murals which were in place soon after Kabul came in control of the defacto regime it was defaced. The world has been a silent spectator to all these developments in the last one year. This literally translates to discussions over policies in the last one year and nothing else took place in the last one year. In the meantime the Tokyo Olympics began and no one from Afghanistan took place because of the defacto regime policies. Afghanistan should have represented in the Tokyo Olympics, alas it didn't happen. Instead high-handedness replaced in place of stability. Afghanistan has been going through a human crisis in speed and in levels that it hasn't experienced. The defacto regime hasn't responded with openness a major reversal. How much more will the world be a silent s...

Afghanistan: Only days apart

Just days away are we from Kabul when the Taliban regime will be celebrating the first anniversary after takeover from the old regime led by ex-president Ashraf Ghani. A recap of the incidents that led before and after the takeover on 15th August 2022 by the Taliban will be fitting to discuss in this article because of the 1st anniversary of the Taliban regime in kabul after 25 years. Before: Afghanistan is the only muslim country in the world which has been going through a series of disaster one followed by another like a domino effect. Begining with the soviet withdrawal the taliban came to power. When the taliban were in power the regime was not Afghanistan wasn't given the status of a nation, instead countries rejected them as a terrorist state. This included human rights abuses, hijacking, religious intolerance, fundamentalism, freedom of speech bans, underdevelopment, economic crisis, drugs and the list can go on. Since this began spread with a solid base the w...

Is Kabul a heaven or haven?

Two room mates in the same hostel of opposite sex crossed each other everyday, but didn't speak to each other. What does it take to break the ice and open a friendly mutual respect conversation between them. It takes the weight of a polar bear to break the ice. You don't have to have a fight in between you to start a meaningful dialogue. All it takes is respect for there other person, a desire to know each other and it takes some courage instead of starting a fight. You don't have to put out a outward drama, because if you do that and the other person also does the same then two fakes can never wish for a true friendship. It is sincerity and not to fake something which you desire most to have. This is exactly what is happening in Afghanistan. Each other knows both the men and the women know how much they have respect for the other opposite sex, but they are struggling to bring it to fruition. An open conversation with all men and women in afghanistan will pave t...

Afghanistan

With just over a month or less the ruling elected democracy fled kabul the capital city of afghanistan. Since then the region had been witnessing tons of problems. With radio and tv broadcasts doing the rounds almost everyday since first kabul came under siege on 15th August 2021. The region one of India's neighbour on the east, to the north of pakistan when celebrations in india was happening on india's independence day. Exactly in another 40 days Afghanistan will open again a new chapter in history. For almost two decades the region hadn't seen anything of the sorts it is going through now in the last 365 days socially, politically or environmentally. As part of the region equality, stability and prosperity is of utmost importance for all others in the region. With just three days left to close into an opening of a new chapter for everyone living inside and outside of kabul the gap needs to closed. Responsibility lies with everyone to make south asia a safe an...
