King's Coronation: Concert and celebrations

  A whopping 100 million pounds was set aside for the occasion. All except a few stray incidents of anti-monarchy protests was seen otherwise marked by concert and celebrations. Indeed a big occasion in the UK and a reason for celebration and it was seen globally.

King Charles: Down to dearth royal walkabout

On the eve of King Charles coronation tomorrow today the 5th of May, 2023 the to-be coroneted King Charles along with his successor and son the Prince and Princesses of Wales came to meet the public. Exactly after nine months of the passing away of the Queen shortly after her platinum jubilee the new king’s coronation is scheduled to take place tomorrow the 6th of May, 2023. Some of the public who attended the Queen’s funeral also made it again for the coronation tomorrow. In contrast to an extravagant ceremony for Queen Elizabeth II coronation only a limited number of guests about 2000 were invited. The Prince and the Princess of Wales were seen moving around and meeting the public like his father King Charles. The weather was pretty good outside. Queen Elizabeth II 1926-2022

That human touch was felt and seen in the Queen's funeral. Dignitaries from all parts of the world attended the funeral today which came to a conclusion of the longest serving monarch in British history. People showed up in thousands for a final glimpse of their compassionate queen and the longest serving monarch. The presence of the people showed clearly what the queen stood for all through her reign of 70 years. The mood was sombre, but clearly no one felt rejected because of the queen's death. She lived a life for 96 years having ascended the throne as a very young queen. Her death came 11 days before which concluded today being laid to rest at the Windsor Castle. A place she cherished all through her life treating it as her home. She not only has made history as the longest serving monarch, but she lived a life she had wished for.
