Srilanka: Why IMF is hesitating to lend?

Mr. Ranil came with many assurances and the chief among them was to address the economic plight of the people. Still a nearly of quarter of the population suffers on a day-to-day basis for money, high prices of bare minimum needs of the people and this is one of the reasons why the IMF is hesitating to lend a loan which is so important for Srilanka in this moment for rebuilding the nation.
