To prevent fluorosis, it is essential to monitor fluoride intake, especially in areas where the water supply is naturally high in fluoride. Parents and caregivers should ensure that children do not consume excessive amounts of fluoride-containing products, such as toothpaste, mouthwash, and supplements.
Dental professionals can also play a crucial role in preventing fluorosis by educating patients on the appropriate use of fluoride products and monitoring fluoride intake, especially in areas where the water supply is naturally high in fluoride.
