In a fitting closing ceremony the patron of the games the Earl of Wessex gave a speech and in the name of the Queen Her Majesty declared closed Birmingham 2022 games. The next 23rd Common Wealth Games will be held in four years time in Victoria, Australia. Until them he wished all the athletes and everyone to meet again in Australia.

The games would bring tourists to Birmingham the second largest city in the UK. Without much incidents the games finished well. Any such games is with the highest goals of fraternity, friendship and equality.
