What type of candidate does Rome need at the moment?

Once again it's premiership fight to fill the prime minister's office. It's over democracy, economic issues, relations and a number of opinions are doing the rounds. Every tv channel is broadcasting it's own as to who should be the next prime minister. In my opinion will the new leader be able to tackle all the local and international news. My choice would be Abraham Lincoln, J.F.K or President Carter. Because both Abraham Lincoln and J.F.K aren't alive will President Jimmy Carter accept the job at 90? What will happen if 2024 US Elections go in favour of the Republicans? Sitting on my couch these questions run through my head as I see the political developments. Can the new premier play a balancing act if she or they are elected? Does she have actually have to do it or as they put it they don't have to. We've to wait for this to see the full government after they take office. Whoever wins and comes next the biggest problem in the society is corruption the new leader must face squarely. Italy's leadership in the EU will depend on how well they handle corruption at a local level in Italy and for the entire diplomacy extending outside of the EU.
