It was absolutely out of context the words of a Chinese diplomat talking of peace. Until now the Chinese government and Chinese officials have ignored the fact of conflict between Russia and Ukraine. A Chinese diplomat speaking of peace just explains the reason why none of the Chinese officials haven't acknowledged the fact of a war going on between Russia and Ukraine.
The comments from the Chinese brings to light they are fully aware of a conflict which was deliberately ignored. Speaking of a peaceful solution to the conflict is absurd and void. It's my vaguest imagination that China has been briefed of this war. Putin meeting with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jiping was only an eyewash to the outside world of a high level meeting between Russia and China to believe a high level meeting has taken place.
It's time for the West to march forward and belittle the 'lies' blamed on the West. I'm confident this threat of war and peace isn't far-fetching and not beneficial to anyone in this year long war.

I am glad this has been brought out to examine the conscience of the politicians in power considering the safety of the people. This is extremely dangerous and a calculated move by the US to have been supplying Ukraine with ammunitions which are useless that could have been avoided by the US.
