Cult - Why is it called cult?

The term "cult" first appeared in English in 1617, derived from the French culte, meaning "worship" which in turn originated from the Latin word cultus meaning "care, cultivation, worship". The meaning "devotion to a person or thing" is from 1829.

Let us slice the meaning of cult one by one to make it understand easily.

1. The term "cult" first appeared in English in 1617. Now there are two things to consider before we can arrive at an answer. 1. Derivation 2. Etymology

From the above we know that the definition for the word cult is a derived term and not an originated term. The difference is that cult clearly gives the meaning that we study or know it as not of something original, it is artificial like a gold plated glass or some make up. Take the photographs of the same person when he or she was as a child and then compare it to something when he or she in their 90s. In a cult they only show you the picture of a person in their young age that could be attractive. The same picture is shown to you when he is in his 50s. You’re not told the current age of the person and you’re asked to show reverence and worship to that person. Only when we know how this person has changed to what he is today and his or her experience to us do we understand something – which experience and knowledge we can use in our own lives to make us better in our own life – we can use it anywhere in what we are doing. The person can be he or she from any walk of life – it can be a student, father, son, husband, wife or anything. That experience and shared knowledge should help us to make or improve ourselves in our life. This is the general belief about a person who wants to improve our lives by sharing his or her life story with us.

In other words Jesus says that he came to save us and not to hurt us. He says, to be a master you must first become a servant who is willing to serve and not to be served. When we are angry we don’t realize what we do. In that moment instead of controlling ourselves, we try to control others and we take very bad decisions in that moment – which can lead us to extreme, circumstances which can cost our own life. We have to learn to control our anger and emotions to lead a balanced life.

People who can exploit us in our bad times in the name of religion, self-improvement, coach etc are all cult people. We are made slaves to them to be obedient to them like an animal a dog or a cat. You can be made to carry a gun or to rob or steal. This is what we call as exploitation. People in their emotions and anger will seldom think correctly. This is the right time when you can be exploited to go against your own daughter, son or father or son going against a father or father going against a son. This is the time for exploiters to use you he or she to serve them. Exploiters can be in many forms and in many names of religion, belief or thought who we call as cult. Jesus says, the harvest is plenty, but the labourers are few. That means the crop has grown and ready to be harvested. When there are no labourers to harvest what has taken time for us to cultivate, if left will all be lost. So, whatever effort we have taken so far to cultivate the crop till it’s time for harvest will be lost if there aren’t enough labourers to harvest on time. To bring it up to the time of harvest it was taken care of by nature. Then it is for us to pick up on time. We can lose our entire life because of decisions taken in the wrong time which can lead us not to see the obvious including drugs, alcohol which can ruin our life once we become an addict or get attracted to materialistic things in life and look away from seeing the obvious.

An injured dog or a cat lying on the road if left will be dying – instead of seeing the obvious trying to help the dog or the cat if we walk away we are looking away from the obvious which needs our attention and care. When we are angry we don’t see who is hurt - even when someone is hurt we walk away instead of helping them. This is the time if we are angry we can make life-changing mistakes. In one word they the cult are selfish, narrow-minded people.

Impact of Inflation on Limited Trading Week: A Brief Overview

Inflation data plays a crucial role in the economy as it measures the rate at which the general level of prices for goods and services is rising, and subsequently, how the purchasing power of currency is falling. Central banks, policymakers, and investors closely monitor inflation rates to make informed decisions and maintain economic stability. A short trading week usually occurs when there are significant holidays or events that cause financial markets to close early or operate with limited hours. Such events may include national holidays, important political or economic announcements, or natural disasters that disrupt normal market operations.
