After a week of fighting between two factions of the government the government has come to a standstill. Until so far nearly 200 civilians have lost their lives and in the battle between the Army and the Paramilitary. This is the latest update coming from Khartoum, the capital of Sudan.
Many thousands have either fled or displaced leaving the city without water and electricity for nearly a week. Many homes have been destroyed with the troops taking the fight to the streets.
