Amsterdam: Cuts down on cruise ships visiting

Amsterdam a very small city with its port in the heart of the city has been a pub for tourists for quite sometime up to almost a million and more tourists sailing in cruise ships would visit the capital city known for its creepy nights, night clubs and night life.

More than being an attraction to these places for tourists, the impact of cruise ships causing on the environment has forced now the city administration to cut down on cruise ships to up to 100 a month.

The effect it had on the environment after so many cruise ships visiting the port city is almost equal to CO2 emissions from 30,000 trucks thus causing severe damage to the environment.

This turns out that Amsterdam has taken up the impact of CO2 on the environment more seriously compared to the revenue it brought to the economy, being negligible compared to the safety of the environment if ignored could have invited more serious concerns very quickly.
