When we don’t safely play with our nature then it will play on us back. This is exactly what we have seen in Himachal and Punjab. This is a typical case study to take for effects due to deforestation.
The only way we can reverse this is will take time nearly up to twenty years when the government make a serious effort to afforest the area. People who migrate to these places in large numbers are an indirect cause for this pain. The baton is solely in government hands to take it up.
Rehabilitation has to take place on a war footing for the displaced people to nearly 67% of the population of the two states. In a slow and steady process education, employment and bank loans for housings etc and another 8% earmarked for safe drinking water to the rehabilitated people.
Only in this way we can reverse the effects caused due to climate change because of deforestation.
Apart from this the progress has to be timely monitored for drastic changes in the original plan.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.
Matthew 6:24-26
