The Path to Peace: Israel, Iran, and the Role of International Diplomacy

We are seeing complacency on both sides of the conflict. Israel on one side and Iran on the other. Both nations must come openly to negotiate their grievances before the UN before any further escalation in the conflict.

The losers are the innocent civilians women, children, and men because of the intense rivalries of both sides. Israel as a state should use restraint as the first source of weapons to engage with Iran. Iran on the other hand should become open now after witnessing the suffering inflicted on innocent people. Iran should also control its proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, and any other agents it is using to carry out its attack on Israel.

None of them Israel or Iran must be spared and whatever has happened until now should be tabled to reach a settlement in this conflict. The people who have been behind this human tragedy in the last almost a year for now should be taken to task and prohibited from carrying out such severe inhumane acts in the future. The UN, UNSC, and the ICJ should do everything possible to carry out the outlay task before it with no more laxities that could be entertained it in the future. The UN should also take into account that all those who are responsible for its laxity or failures should be dealt with severely and bring those responsible in the open for everyone to know. On any account, it should not play second fiddle to any one person or nation acting as a hurdle to carrying out duties in good faith and with a true sense of duty on its part.

Because the countries party to the UN have lost faith in its proper functioning, we were unable to bring about any worthwhile solution anywhere in the world. With whatever powers it has been given it should act accordingly in complete responsibility and faith. The UN should be able to see beforehand a conflict, a natural disaster, or a humanitarian crisis anywhere in the universe before it can even begin. It should be given extra powers to draft such tragic events by conducting interviews, research, and collecting information to carry out this extra work on its part and should become an information house that could be later used by others.

The Endless Cycle of Misinformation and Deflection: Biden, Harris, and the 2024 Campaign

For four long years, a column was being written in the press, a persistent narrative that followed President Joe Biden through his term in office. Every time Biden faced tough questions or criticism, he would pause, take a deep breath, and yell back, branding the conversation as either "misinformation" or "disinformation." It became almost a hallmark of his response—deflecting any criticism by labeling it as part of some broader, nefarious campaign to distort the truth.  This strategy came full circle the day Biden signed his name to a critical decision: his reelection announcement for 2024. By deciding to run again, Biden’s reelection bid felt like the culmination of a column that had been continuously drafted, edited, and critiqued. His familiar refrain against “misinformation” became, in essence, the core message of his defense—any challenge to his policies or leadership was dismissed as an attack not based on facts but on falsehoods. But the story didn’t end the...
